Never Give Up on your Dreams

He was frustrated by not getting a job and tweeted this on 18th Aug 2012.

He wondered what he wanted to do with his career, having been let go three years before by Celtic’s youth team.

He then got selected for the youth team of Queen Park. He gave his 100% in the training day in and day out.

But it was tough for him to survive financially and was in search of universities. But he suddenly decided to follow his heart & take a shot at Football by giving a year back. 

And that was the turning point.

Despite his inexperience, he played almost every match in the first season, but still was not earning enough as he was playing for a small amateur club.

He used to clean up after the first-team matches, landscaping, emptying the bins did all types of part-time jobs to survive.

After all the hard work, In 2013 – Dundee united came with him an offer that will make him stop doing all the side gigs.

In 2014, He got a chance to play with Hull City in the Premier League.

Although Hull got relegated in their first season, he showed immense character and proved to everyone that he has the skills to be one of the best Footballers in the World.

With Jurgen Klopp looking around for the left-back as James Milner and Alberto Moreno were not up to the mark.

He was signed by Liverpool for £8M in 2017.

His willingness to press with the good attributes of pace, strength, & stamina made him a perfect fit for Klopp’s new-look Liverpool.

With Klopp signing Trent Alexander Arnold from the youth team of Liverpool and Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton, Liverpool became a serious contender in the Champions League and Premier League.

In 2018, he played the UEFA Champions League Final. Although the Reds lost to Zidane’s Real Madrid, he had an incredible season and was named captain of the Scotland National Football team. 

In 2019, He had a fantastic season and the Reds clinched the Champions League title by defeating Pochettino’s Spurs in the finals. The winning reign continued as he later went on to win the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
